When do You Need Solar?
Solar has been used as a need when you can’t tie up to the grid. In many remote areas, computers, hot water, cooking, and a lot of other uses are made for solar. It makes sense when you can’t tie into a grid. The other factor is simply that a lot of us don’t want to tie into a grid. We want to be independent without government help.
Do you need electricity? It’s not desirable for most people, but you can live just fine without electricity.
What makes sense is that you can start using energy more wisely. You can learn that maybe you don’t need 10 lights on in the house at the same time. Instead of always looking for light switches it makes sense to design the home so that lights automatically go off at certain times or that built in switches can control the entire home from a convenient location.
Bottom Line
You need solar when you make the decision to be green. You also need solar when you realize it will be the less expensive long run option. You need solar when you finally make a commitment to the environment with what you do; not just what you say.
