Solar Lanterns
All the rage of popularity, right now, are solar lanterns. The solar lanterns are doing well for two reasons: 1- The use of Led lighting requires much less power and 2- Solar cells are much more powerful than ever before. These two technologies are coming together to make solar lanterns one of the hottest camping items.
These solar lanterns have so much more versatility than traditional lanterns ever did. For one thing, the old lanterns required tons of D size batteries or a couple of extra large batteries. Then, the lantern would only last a couple of nights and would be very heavy. Then, the next camping trip would come along and you had to buy another twenty dollars worth of batteries. Now, that has all changed.
Solar lanterns require no batteries and the led lights are so bright it is amazing. They can be made much smaller and in a lot of different configurations that weren't available in years past. You can expect that solar lanterns are going to sell really well in the next 10 years, or so.
