Solar Kitchen Counter
The first part of a solar counter is that it can have built in led lights to change the color of it. Many concrete counter tops have built in designs with glass and ceramics to decorate it. However, with solar the counter top can have built in lighting, as well.
The uses of the counter top could actually be very creative. For one thing, an area under the counter could store appliances that pop up, when in use, and, with the push of a button, retreat to their holding compartment.
If you take the same idea to a whole ridiculous level, the counter top could clean itself. The counter could open up and dump all the contents inside. There would be a sorting mechanism that would route dishes to the sink, paper to the garbage or shredder, garbage to the garbage can, and other items could be pushed to a container. The final step would be to have the counter self scrub and clean. The whole process seems impossible, but the technology actually exists. It is just too expensive to develop for widespread use.
