Microlink Devices is a solar device company that produces heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs). These transistors are important for work in radio signal devices such as mobile phones and microwave parabolic dish transmissions.
Currently Microlink Devices is working on solar cells that will be used in solar cell concetrators. The claim is that they can reduce the cost of a solar cell by 50% with the use of MOCD technology. MOCD stands for metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and is used with III-V semiconductor materials.
